Douglas Heiner, M.D.

Douglas Heiner, M.D. is a board certified and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon who specializes in Mohs surgery, laser and cosmetic dermatology, and reconstructive surgery. He is an expert in all aspects of skin cancer surgery, including the treatment of Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Malignant Melanoma, as well as other forms of skin cancer. Dr. Heiner specializes in the diagnosis and repair of skin lesions, including cosmetic reconstruction following skin cancer removal utilizing skin grafts and skin flaps.   Dr. Heiner completed his residency in dermatology at Boston University at Roger Williams Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Heiner completed a competitive Mohs and dermatologic surgery fellowship approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery. Before attending medical school, Dr. Heiner earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology at Brigham Young University. He received his medical degree with magna cum laude honors from the University Of Texas School Of Medicine at Galveston. Dr. Heiner is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and American Academy of Dermatology.

Adam Sorensen, D.O.

Dr. Sorensen is a board certified Dermatologist through the American Board of Osteopathic Dermatology. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University before receiving his medical degree at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO in 2009. Following his initial medical training, Dr. Sorensen went on to complete a one year internship followed by a two year residency and board certification in Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Sorensen later went on to complete three years of Dermatology residency training at the Lake Erie Consortium for Osteopathic Medical Training in Mesa, AZ focusing in both medical and surgical dermatology. With his medical background, Dr. Sorensen has a keen interest in medical dermatology and realizes that many dermatologic problems are not only skin deep. As an Osteopathic physician, Dr. Sorensen emphasizes attention to all aspects of disease including the mind, body, and spirit. He understands that many complex factors may influence skin disease and strives to approach each patient as unique individual with unique needs.
